Dr. Scott Huynh

Dr. Huynh was born in Vietnam and grew up in Atlanta. He attended Georgia State University where, in 2003, he received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Dr. Huynh then went on to Dental School at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, Dr. Huynh returned to Atlanta to practice and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. While at Georgia State University, Dr. Huynh received the Faculty Scholarship Award for academic excellence in Science.

Dr. Huynh loves to watch The Best Ever Food Review Show, The Food Ranger and Migrationology. His favorite vacation destinations are Japan and Vietnam. He spends his free time enjoying the outdoor world with his wife and kids, including running with Rico, his Australian Sheep Dog, biking, swimming, watching and playing sports. You can find him rooting for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves, and Georgia Tech.

Dr. Scott Huynh was named Atlanta Magazine's 2020 Top Doctor in Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Wakefield was born in Sandersville, Georgia and grew up in Quitman, Georgia, where he was President of the Student Government, awarded the J.B. Stevens Award for Best All-Around Student, captain of the football team, and the recipient of numerous academic awards and scholarships. While attending Fort Valley State University, he was Drum Major for the “Blue Machine” Marching Band, member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society. At the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Wakefield was President of the Student National Dental Association. When not seeing patients, he can be found at weddings, churches, and Jazz clubs playing saxophone, or at charity golf tournaments.

Dr. David Lofters

Orthodontist

A smile is the first thing people notice, and a positive change in a person’s smile often leads to increased confidence and happiness. Dr. David Lofters has practiced orthodontics for over a decade with the satisfaction of knowing that he is helping to make a positive difference in his patients’ lives. Dr. Lofters loves his profession and believes that his enthusiasm for his work rubs off on his patients. After all, he is a “smile maker”!

Education

Dr. Lofters’ passion for the art and science of orthodontics began during his formal education. He attended Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL, for his Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in biochemistry. Both his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and orthodontic certificate were completed at Howard University College of Dentistry.

Outside the Office

A native of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Lofters currently resides in Marietta with his wife and two sons. His free time is spent watching basketball and being a role model to the youth in his community.

Dr. Farryn J. Harrison

D.D.S Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Farryn Harrison is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides services to patients as young as 5 years old. Originally from Milledgeville, GA, Dr. Harrison earned her dental degree and completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She was then appointed Assistant Professor and Clinical Director in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department at the School of Dentistry. Dr. Harrison completed her undergraduate degree at Georgia College & State University and obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene at Macon State College.

Dr. Ronald M. Wand

D.D.S

"It is my goal that every encounter with our office and staff exceeds your expectations. We go out of our way to deliver the level of dental care and compassion that we would want for our own family. I have always based my measure of success on the quality of relationships I have with my patients along with the quality of service we provide.

Dr. Ronald Wand received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington University in St Louis with a double major in psychology and biology. He then went on to dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin(the city in which he was born and raised) where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery(DDS) graduating with honors.

After graduation, he was fortunate enough to have the experience of a General Practice residency at William Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso Texas followed by serving 2 years as the chief dental officer at Fort Gillem in Atlanta.

In mid-1970's he began his private practice along with teaching clinical dentistry for 10 years at Emory University as a part-time faculty member. Dr. Wand has since continued his education with more than 1000 hours of post-graduate courses in restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Wand and his wife Linda have been married for 32 years and have 5 children between them. In his spare time, he loves being with his family. He has a passion for photography, gardening, raising egg laying chickens, travel, and exercising."

Dr. Maya Basu

D.M.D.

General Dentistry

Dr. Basu joined our practice in 2019 and enjoys providing all that modern dentistry has to offer, including a comprehensive list of general, restorative and cosmetic dental services to meet the needs of the whole family.

Dr. Basu is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry, where she laid the foundation for her passionate career in dentistry by volunteering in underserved areas and engaging with community health initiatives. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Genetics with a minor in Public Health.

Dr. Basu is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. She is currently accepting new patients and when you schedule a visit with her, your smile is her top priority. Her entire team is dedicated to providing patients with teh personalized, quality dental care they deserve in order to achieve and maintain long-term dental health and beautiful smile. Dr. Basu is a native of Georgia and in her time away from work she enjoys playing flute, watching films, reading books, traveling and exploring local cultures.

Dr. Kristiana Person

D.M.D.

Dr. Kristiana Person is a friendly and dedicated dentist who's passionate about helping her patients achieve the best possible oral health. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and holds a Master's in Medical Science from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Science in Family Science degree from the University of Maryland.

During her academic career, Dr. Person proudly served as an admissions ambassador, teaching assistant, and exam proctor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She's helped guide prospective dental students and assisted with coursework. Dr. Person is also a dedicated member of many professional organizations and has received certifications in CPR and radiation safety.

Community service is close to Dr. Person's heart. She created the Love Your Smile 5K in Atlanta and participated in various other initiatives such as SNDA Impressions Day and Special Olympics- Special Smiles Massachusetts. Dr. Person's clinical/externship experience is diverse, and she's gained crucial experience in different settings. This includes Winslow Indian Health Care Clinic, where she provided emergency services to patients over five weeks on an Indian reservation in Winslow, Arizona.
